Investigating the Effect of Using Game-Based Learning on EFL Learners’ Motivation and Anxiety

This study intended to examine the effects of game-based learning on Iranian EFL learners’ language anxiety and motivation. In order perform study, quantitative research method was applied. this 58 intermediate participants were selected divided into two groups: control experimental. Then, questionnaires Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale (FLCAS) Motivation Test Battery (AMTB) administered both groups as pretests study. After pretesting, 90 English vocabulary items trained EG by using learning, but same taught CG traditionally. teaching vocabularies, mentioned again post-tests The results independent samples t-tests revealed that implementing had potential reducing improve their learning. Also, indicated applying increased motivation learners.
